Rima LXIV.
Rhyme LXIV. As a miser guards his treasure...
As a miser guards his treasure, I guarded my pain; I wanted to prove there was something as eternal as the eternal love she swore to me.
But today I call in vain and hear the time that has passed, say: "Ah, miserable mud, eternally you will not be able even to suffer!"
